Porcelain Veneers and Lumineers in San Marcos

Create a beautiful smile with porcelain veneers or Lumineers at San Marcos Gentle Dental!

Have you recently chipped or damaged a tooth? Do you have a lackluster smile? The team at San Marcos Gentle Dental may be able to assist by placing porcelain veneers or Lumineers! Porcelain veneers are thin shells of ceramic, which are created to conceal an existing tooth. A porcelain veneer looks like an actual tooth, and is made by a licensed dental ceramist. During your consultation, we’ll take detailed notes about the size, shape, and color of your other teeth to send to the ceramist. This way, your porcelain veneer can blend in with your smile. This is the recommended option for those who have experienced a dental accident, and would like to hide the damage.

Lumineers work the same way that porcelain veneers do, but are thinner and have more shine to create a radiant smile. These require minimal tooth prep, and can be removed if you decide to go back to your natural appearance. You’ll most likely need to have multiple Lumineers placed for a realistic look. Lumineers creates these, and we’ll send our notes to them to ensure that your finished Lumineers are a close fit.

It’s important to note that neither porcelain veneers nor Lumineers will stain, like normal enamel will. In same manner, Lumineers and porcelain veneers will not respond to teeth whitening. If you were considering getting your teeth whitened, we recommend that you have it performed before your porcelain veneer or Lumineers consultation. This way, your dental restoration will be able to match the shade of your bright, new smile.

After we receive your porcelain veneers or Lumineers, you’ll return to the office to have them placed. Dr. Donnelly will use a dental composite to permanently affix your porcelain veneers or Lumineers to the front of your teeth. We’ll also make any necessary adjustments. Remember that your restoration is made to last, so you’ll be able to eat and drink like normal after you have your porcelain veneers or Lumineers placed.

Please call us today to schedule a porcelain veneers and Lumineers consultation at San Marcos Gentle Dental. Dr. Donnelly sees patients from San Marcos, Kyle, Wimberley, New Braunfels, and other Texas towns for porcelain veneers or Lumineers treatment.
